Important League Memos

Players and Coaches,

Please read the two memos from the League below regarding Cell Phone Usage and Players and Coaches on the Bench.

Academic Eligibility

Varsity and JV Parents,

To participate in the AT&T Metroplex Hockey League we must have all skaters academically eligible.  I will need you to submit your player's grades every six  weeks for them to participate in games and practices.

The information must come from the school.  We cannot take a parent’s word that your player is passing all their classes.   They must maintain a 70 or above for all regular classes.  AP and Honors classes are exempt.  This is the league policy.

To get your students grades you need to get on www.mypisd.net.  Go to your  players grades, press the print screen button, go to word and paste the screen shot and send the attachment to me at Jefftheander@aol.com.  You can also request email notifications directly from the website and forward that email on to me.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me or any board member.

Thanks,

PESH Hockey Association

IMPORTANT INFO FOR ALL PLAYERS!

ATTENTION ALL PLANO EAST HOCKEY PLAYERS & PARENTS

Please read the two documents below from Texas Health Sports Network regarding ImPACT Testing.
This is a FREE test offered by Texas Health Sports Network that all of our players should take advantage of! It can be done on your home computer and takes about 45 minutes.
The test will establish a baseline that can be used in the future if a player suffers a suspected concussion.
Again, there is NO CHARGE and this could prove to be an invaluable tool should one of our players suffer a concussion!

EQUIPMENT CHECK!

Please take a few minutes to check your equipment the upcoming tournament. The refs are really watching several things this year.

The penalty is a 10 minute misconduct and the player is not allowed on the ice until the problem is corrected.

1. All players (goalies included) must have a colored mouthguard in their mouth at all times when they are on the ice. The mouthguards can't be chewed up or cut short. They must cover all of the teeth on one jaw (upper or lower). The mouthguard must be in place and covering the teeth; chewing on the mouthguard will get you a penalty.

2.  Breezers must not have any large rips on the inseams. If they have a zipper on the inseam the zipper must be closed. Think pants and not kilts. If your breezers are ripped they must be properly closed with tape or you will be removed from the ice.

3.  Helmets must be in good working order. Chin straps, chin guards and all hardware must be in place.

4. Watch your mouth and your language! The refs will not stand for any mouthing off or complaining about calls. The penalty is a 10 minute misconduct and there are no warnings.
